The Co-binning Community
The Co-binning Community has brought people of all ages out of their houses by the action of binningg, a necessary daily track especially for the elderly, to find their own value and meaning in the society, and converting the negative existing communal space to positive.. By the implementation of a community-lead plastic workshop and the centralisation of recycling bins, the value of the community's presence in Withington, Manchester is enhanced, so that the people(especially the elderly) are able to obtain economic benefits through their daily activities, which we call it as 'waste economy' in this project.
This project is also aiming to explore based on the question of 'How can co-living develop a sense of community by promoting collective responsibility for public services and the surrounding environment?'
